Questions and AnswersWhat are the chocolate tea ingredients?
Chocolate Tea is created by soaking the Cacao Husk/Cacao Shell of the most delicious cacao bean in the world, that is why nothing compares! It does not have any other ingredients in it. There is minimal traces of Calories and Caffeine. With no Sugar or Dairy.
Are you sure it is 100% Organic and is it Certified?
We are very passionate about this answer as we support small local businesses and not the big guys. Yes, Our Cacao Shells are 100% Organic free from GMO Pesticides etc as Peru’s legal ban on GMO foods prohibits the import, production and use of genetically modified foods. The law is aimed at safeguarding the country’s agricultural diversity and preventing cross-pollination with non-GMO crops. It also helps protect Peruvian exports of organic products.
We do have an expired Organic Certificate and Certification on certain plantations, but our product is supplied to us by Small Plantations usually and located all around Peru. Certification of Organic has been invented by westernized countries & only the Large Plantations with investors would be able to afford to certify their products regularly. We prefer to help the little people as they need our support more! In the end it's not beneficial for a small plantation who may not even own a mobile phone to apply or get involved in organisations where they would have never heard of nor have the money to waste up to $3000USD to get involved. Can i add Milk to my Tea?
Of Course you can! If you have tea with your tea normally or love Hot Chocolate this is a great alternative by adding a dash of milk!
Can i Re-use my TeaBags?
Yes, you can re-use the TeaBag itself but the actual Chocolate Tea i wouldn't recommend as all the goodness went with the first batch!
Why do i need to store it in a cool, dry, air tight space ?
With any organic tea if it is exposed to moisture or heat, it can create a problem of unwanted extras within the tea and become out of date. Please also note that bugs love this tea as much as we do so keeping it closed at all times is a must.
Why does my Tea taste different from last time ?
Because it is a natural product, the weather & natural elements play a large part in our product. And we love to see how each shipment will turn out. They could be large shells or small shells, Slightly More Flavor then Smell or more smell then flavor. Although there are slight changes we are always pleased with the outcome of a great tasting Chocolate Tea.
Please play with the amount of grams and the time you brew to find what strength suits you. Smashing it up will release more flavor! Is it FairTrade?
We are not the cheapest tea on the market and here is why, We believe very strongly in Fairtrade and pay western prices to a 3rd world country for the product and partial packing. This is why we wanted to import our product to help support their country, along with the fact Australia doesn't grow good, flavorful cacao.
Our suppliers are small family run plantations all over Peru and would rather spend on building more produce then a certified piece of paper from westerners. Which is good for us it means more chocolate tea!!! :) Please be aware of cheap imitations and think, where the plantations are, how much of your $ actually goes to support the small farmers that need it! What is the Process of making the Chocolate Tea?
The Cacao Beans are Fermented and then Roasted with either direct hot pans or with fire wood chips. They then remove the Cacao (aka Cocoa) and leave the shells for us to package up. Did i mention it was all done by hand? Artisan Made? Incredible!
Why is my External Packaging different from last time?
As a business we are looking for new and different ways to present our product that customers will like and relate too, but also to keep costs down with new exciting displays. Please advise us your thoughts on this as your feedback is always welcome!

What is the difference between your cacao tea and others?
When we came into the market in 2014 we were the only ones and the first to bring it into Australia. We travelling Australia to introduce it to customers and tea businesses alike. Since then we have had many small and large businesses come and go. And with all of that the taste of our tea has been superior to them all. We pride ourselves on being budget friendly yet an exclusive, unique and bespoke product.
